After being honorably discharged, he was proud to be awarded a machinist apprenticeship at the Charlestown Navy Yard. He was most recently employed at MIT Lincoln Laboratories in Lexington where he was honored to work on multiple projects for the Department of Defense.

Bob was an avid lover of classic cars. Among his prized possessions were his 1934 Ford and his 1955 Chevy. On weekends, Bob could be seen at several classic car shows, most recently earning trophies for years of his hard work both building and maintaining his passion.

Bob especially loved spending time with his grandchildren and cheering them on at sporting events, helping them work on school projects and sharing his views on life with them.
