Robert G. Pantzer, born on April 28, 1941 in Staten Island, New York, embraced the world with a spirit of adventure and creativity that never ceased to inspire those around him.
Robert, a retired Industrial Engineer, was not only talented in his professional life but was also passionate in his personal pursuits. Known for his love for the outdoors, Robert was an accomplished sailor, a scuba diving instructor, and a backpacker. His adventurous spirit was matched only by his creative talents, showcased through his work as an underwater and landscape photographer. His love for learning led him to complete his MBA at Columbia University, his undergrad in Industrial Engineering, and later a Masters Degree in Counseling from Framingham State University.
Robert was a writer, an avid reader, and a train enthusiast who enjoyed many train rides with his beloved wife, Ellen. Robert, an adventurous soul, was born and raised in Staten Island, moving to Littleton in 1969 before settling in Maynard, Massachusetts in 2023. His life was a journey marked by exploration, intellectual pursuits, and a deep bond with his loved ones.
Robert is survived by his wife and companion of 25 years, Ellen, his two daughters Kathryn Barton and husband Dennis, Maria Hedwig Harris and husband Shawn, his granddaughters Lauren, Sophia, Genevieve, his grandson Conor, and great-granddaughters Charlotte, Maeve and Vienna. His spirit continues to live on in their memories and the stories they share. He was preceded in death by his father Gustav Pantzer, mother Katherine Pantzer, brother William "Billy" Pantzer, sister Elizabeth “Betsy” Hauber and his first wife Carol (Hansen) Pantzer.
Robert Pantzer, an embodiment of adventure, creativity, love, and talent, will forever be remembered by those whose lives he touched.
