It is from the heart that this is written. Where to begin talking about Bob's life. First and foremost, he absolutely loved building houses. He was a rare fortunate person who loved his profession and didn't view it as work. It was his passion and it came through with each beautiful home he built in the Middlesex county area. He didn't do the bare minimum, he built the highest quality homes that to this day receive compliments from those who purchased them years later. His legacy will live on through these homes.
Bob loved dressing up and going out to nice restaurants. He delighted in great food and looked forward to trying new places.
He had a fantastic sense of humor and loved to laugh. There were many times he made people crack up laughing when he was being completely serious. He was quick with his wit and comebacks, and if he could make someone smile as a result of it... well that made his day.
He was an avid reader of all kinds of books and loved alt-media magazines and newspapers. Up into his 80s, he loved working out at the Westford Regency gym. Being one of the oldest members at that time, he was like a celebrity and an inspiration.
Bob loved the outdoors and in later years loved spending time at Nara Park in Acton. He would walk several loops and enjoyed sitting on the benches looking out over the pond and talking with old friends and family he bumped into. He loved coffee shops and diners, making friends with the staff at each of his favorite places. They loved him too and looked forward to seeing him each time.
Bob loved his family and friends. Particularly the quality time spent with Diane and Charlie, Denny, Anthony, Jim, Richard, and Bettie. It is important to call out the great relationship he had with his best friend Richard Pacy. His partner in crime so to speak. They were friends since their teen years and was a friendship that lasted for over 75 years. We hope they are together now along with all his long-lost friends and relatives.
Although divorced, Bob continued to live with and love his wife Jane Power. She stood by him during these past very difficult years, a testament to her capacity to love and his gratitude to receive it.
In his later years, he was deeply contented spending every day at home with Jane, Kerry, Janice, and our dog Rocky, eating delicious meals and foods, listening to music (Acker Bilk one of his favorites), and visiting with those who loved him.
Bob also leaves behind his daughter Janice, son Kerry, son Bob, daughter-in-law Karen, granddaughters Nicole and Kristin, and granddog Rocky.
Lastly, to say he was a tough guy is an understatement. They don't build them like this anymore. To say that he will be missed is the greatest understatement. We love him and he will always live in our hearts. We will just have to live with missing him deeply every day.
Bob loved big bright colorful flowers, so if you would like to send them to Badger Funeral Home in Littleton we will ensure he is surrounded by them in his final resting place.
