Robert Stone

Robert Stone age 87 and life long resident of Harvard passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 5, 2016 at his residence. He was the husband of 48 years to Frances (Powell) Stone.

Born in Ayer on April 6, 1929 he was the son of the late Guy and Jenny (Stanley) Stone. Bob graduated from Bromfield Academy in Harvard class of 1947 and worked at Hawbuck Orchards for many years.  He then worked for Pepsi Cola for 20 years retiring in 1994.

During his spare time and retirement Bob enjoyed extended travel with his wife Frances, gardening, tending to his property and watching the Boston Red Sox.

Along with his wife he is survived by his brother Norman Stone also of Harvard.

Family and friends will gather to honor and remember Bob on Wednesday, Nov. 9 from 10:00 – 11:00 am in the Badger Funeral Home, 347 King Street, Littleton. His funeral service will follow at 11:00 am.  Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery, Ayer.
