Ronald Allen DeCosta

Ronald Allen DeCosta, age 64, of Acton, passed away unexpectedly at home on December 20, 2025.

Ron was born on January 2, 1961, as Ronald Allen Wilson at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. He was the son of the late Harold D. Wilson and Joyce L. (Gilbar) DeCosta.

Ron was an avid Boston Bruins fan and enjoyed watching all the games. He also enjoyed music. He was a self-taught guitar and piano player. He enjoyed both of these pastimes with whom he thought was his “greatest creation” in his life, his daughter, Kelsey.

He served in the US Army from October 1981 and was honorably discharged in July 1984. He spent many years in the auto industry and then became self-employed, opening Pro-Tech and Acton Boxboro Pest Control.

Ron is survived by his daughter, Kelsey, and her husband Evan Repucci of Mason. NH. His friend and former wife, Marie Stanlake of FL, and his sister, Victoria DeCosta of FL. He also leaves behind his beloved sidekick, his dog Chiva. He is predeceased by his brother, Daniel DeCosta, and his sister Faithanne DeCosta.

Family and friends will gather to honor and remember Ron for a period of visitation on Saturday, January 3, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, with a memorial service followed by Army Military Honors at 1:00 PM, at the Badger Funeral Home, 45 School St., Groton, MA.
