Russell G. Fidler, 100. Formerly of Littleton died at Life Care Center of Acton on February 22, 2015. He was born in Weymouth, MA on May 8, 1914 son of the late Arthur and Margaret (Leavitt) Fidler and was the husband of the late Margaret (Kyle) Fidler who died in 2000. He grew up in Charlestown and graduated from High School of Commerce in 1941. Russell then received an Associate Degree from Wentworth Institute as a machine worker. He first worked as a First Class Radio Operator at WHDH, an then at HD Clayton, Four River Shipyard in Quincy and then Arthur D. Little as an experimental machinist for 25 years retiring in 1976. He had made his home in Littleton since 1953, moved to Florida in 1978, then Nashua, NH in 1995 and most recently Acton
He was a member of St Anne's Church in Littleton and Past President of the Holy Name Society.
Mr. Fidler is survived by 4 Children, Charles Kyle and his wife Jean of Sterling, Allan Fidler of Billerica, Donald Fidler and his wife Debbie of Littleton, Robert Fidler and his wife Joan of Carlisle, and Janice Knox and her husband John of Littleton. 18 Grandchildren and 10 Great Grandchildren He was also the father of the late Russell Fidler and father?in-law of the late Paula Fidler. Visiting Hours will be held at the Badger Funeral Home, 347 King Street, Littleton on Friday February 27, 2015 from 4-8 pm.
