Ruth Anne Malnati

Ruth Anne, daughter of Ruth Schumacher and Joseph Howe, was born and raised on Staten Island, NY. Ruth was a graduate of Notre Dame College (1958) and Wagner College (1960). Ruth was an early childhood and kindergarten teacher in New York and Massachusetts.

Ruth married Robert Malnati (also of Staten Island) in 1965. They made their homes in Staten Island, Hauppauge NY, Acton MA and Littleton MA.

Family was always the focus of Ruth’s life, she had 4 brothers and a sister.

Ruth and Bob had 3 sons Robert (Carol), Mark (Karen) and John (Holly) plus grandchildren Amanda (TJ), Samuel (Maryann), Michael, Matthew, Luke and Angela. Ruth was an active member of the Acton Woman's Club and the Emerson Hospital auxiliary and devoted much time and energy to activities in her parish(es). Ruth’s extended family of over 100 nieces, nephews, brother, sister, spouses, and subsequent generations have all been recipients of her love and example as a dedicated Catholic Christian, sibling, wife, mother, aunt and friend to all, especially children.

Visitation to honor and remember Ruth will be on Sunday January 25, from 11am - 2pm at Badger Funeral Home, 347 King Street, Littleton, MA. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday January 27 at 10am, St Anne Church, 75 King Street, Littleton, MA. Burial will be on Saturday, January 31 at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, NY at noon.
