Sandra Marie Pacy

June 27, 1945 — April 7, 2024

Bridgewater, Massachusetts

Sandra Marie (Tucci) Pacy, 78, of Bridgewater, Massachusetts died at home with her family on April 7, 2024. She courageously confronted Parkinson’s Disease for twelve years.

Sandy was born on June 27, 1945 to Ralph and Helvi (Heikkinen) Tucci, in Waltham, Massachusetts. She spent her first 12 years in Waltham and moved to Littleton, Massachusetts in 1957 where she met lifelong friends. After graduating from Littleton High School in 1963, Sandy enrolled at the University of Massachusetts (Amherst), graduating in 1967 with a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences. Sandy had several careers that emphasized caring for others, including professions in social work, health education, and medical services. Beyond her professional care for others, she advocated for peace by helping organize the first Earth Day in Buffalo, New York.

Sandy enjoyed the outdoors and nature, and was especially fond of oceans and lakes. She spent her summers at her cottage on North Pond in Bryant Pond, Maine, and enjoyed skiing and hiking the trails and mountains of Maine and New Hampshire. A lifelong music enthusiast, Sandy acquired a sophisticated taste ranging from Classical, Opera, Folk, and Rock. She played guitar and would get lost in the music. But more than this, Sandy loved spending time and caring for her family and friends. Here her kindness and joy emerged and she was at one with life and love. Her grandchildren were the center of her world in her last years. She will be greatly missed by many people.

Sandy leaves her husband of 54 years, Ronald W. Pacy, her daughter Alyssa K. Pacy, son-in-law Guillaume Adelmant, and grandchildren Emil and Noémie Adelmant-Pacy. She is survived by her niece Katie Tucci of Washington, DC, and her aunt Laura Heikkinen of South Paris, Maine. Her brother Robert J. Tucci died in 2008. She also leaves her in-laws Marjorie Trebendis, Anna Boccio, Carol Anne Reilly, and John Pacy, and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Family and friends will gather to honor and remember Sandy for a period of visitation on Friday, April 12, 2024 from 3:00PM - 6:00PM at the Badger Funeral Home, 347 King Street, Littleton, MA. Her funeral service will be held the following day on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at 10:00AM at the funeral home. Burial to follow at Westlawn Cemetery, Littleton, MA.
