Sandra (Sandy) Hartwell Willey, age 89 of Littleton, MA, passed away peacefully on October 18, 2026. She was born on May 24, 1937, in Littleton MA., to George and Marion Hartwell.

Sandy will be remembered for sharp wit, endless generosity and kindness, and loyalty to friends and family. She was also extremely proud of her “Yankee” New Englander heritage. She often shared fond memories of slicing Bananas as a high schooler working at Kimball Ice cream, and later decorating cakes at the Rolling Pin Bakery in Littleton. She was also an avid cross stitcher, dress seamstress, and artist. She will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her sons Clarke and Mark, grandchildren Alex and Jack, and great grandchildren, Baker and Emerson. She was Preceded in death by her parents, sister Ruth, brother Fred, infant son Sidney, and Husband LTC Burr M. Willey, who was killed in Vietnam in 1972. She never remarried but later spent many years in Fitchburg with her life partner Richard Morand who also preceded her in death.

A private graveside ceremony will be held by family and they are grateful for the kindness and support shown at this time. In lieu of flowers, Sandy would have wanted you to donate to your local animal shelter.

We invite you to remember Sandra as the spirited, funny, and creative soul she was. Her life was a testament to her strength and her boundless love for her family. As we mourn her loss, let us also celebrate the beautiful life she lived. We encourage you to share your memories of Sandra, to laugh, cry, and reminisce about the wonderful times shared with her.
