Shirley A. (Chesbrough) Taylor, 88 of Groton, MA passed away on Tuesday, March 14, 2023.

Born in Leominster on March 2, 1935, Shirley was the daughter of the late Leslie and Melanie (Surette) Chesbrough.

An avid sports fan, Shirley loved watching and talking about sports, especially the New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox. She enjoyed cooking and worked primarily in the food service industry.  Her last position before retirement was as a cafeteria worker at the Groton Dunstable Middle School. 

She had many hobbies but her favorite thing to do was to spend time with her family. She especially enjoyed being a grandmother and her grandchildren brought her a lot of joy.

She is lovingly survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law, Bradley and Laura Taylor of Townsend, and Robert and Raquel Taylor of Shirley; three daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Robert Hillman of Littleton, Peggy and Michael Lintellsmith of Norristown, Pa., and Debbie and Glenn Weiland of Townsend; 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her loving husband Raymond Taylor and her younger brothers Richard and Robert Chesbrough. 

Family and friends will gather to honor and remember Shirley for visiting hours on Thursday, March 23, 2023, from 5 to 7 PM at the Badger Funeral Home, 45 School Street, Groton. Her funeral service will follow at 7 PM.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Shirley’s memory to HealthAlliance Home Health and Hospice 60 Hospital Rd. Leominster, MA 01453.
