Stanley Kimball

February 4, 1932 — June 9, 2014

Stanley M. Kimball, 82, of Westford passed away peacefully, on June 9, 2014 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Ayer MA on February 4, 1932 son of the late John A. and Clara (Mottram) Kimball. A lifelong resident of Westford, he graduated from Westford Academy, Class of 1950. He was a lifelong member of the Littleton Baptist Church in Littleton MA. Stanley, with his passion for life itself, was able to live with Parkinson's disease for over two decades, with resilience and unending love. His wife, "Kay" spent many years by his side, caring for her loving husband. They would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on October 16th of this year.

He grew up at Kimball Farm when it was a dairy farm, and continued working there as the farm became "Kimball Farm Ice Cream". When Route 495 was built running through the farm property, Stanley, seeing the need to use the cut trees and built the saw mill near the barn. He loved "The Farm", his saw mill and the many hours spent haying the fields always with his family alongside. He loved animals, antique cars and rides throughout the scenic back roads of NH.
He was a Lover of the outdoors, and had a passion for all the New England seasons, Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter. Never did he complain about the weather! He will be remembered for his affection for all living things. His love and passion for people required no explanation, it was unspoken through his genuine smile, twinkle in his eye and nod of his head. Stanley was always there to help anyone in need, or give homes to homeless animals along his journeys.
Other than "The Farm" in Westford, he loved visiting his mother's family farm in Sabbatus Maine and spending time at his home on Casco Bay in South Harpswell.
