Thelma A. Bernier

Thelma A. (Melendy) Bernier, age 69, of Dublin, NH and formerly of Pepperell, MA died Saturday, June 22, 2013 at the Monadnock Community Hospital in Peterborough, NH after a period of declining health. She was the wife of Raymond S. Bernier with whom she shared 22 years of marriage.

She was born in Nashua, NH on April 10, 1944, a daughter of the late Ernest and Yetive (Penniman) Melendy. She was educated in the Pepperell School System and graduated from North Middlesex Regional High School in Townsend, MA.

Prior to retirement, she was employed for Whistler Co. in Westford, MA and Findings Co. in Keene, NH. In her earlier years she resided in Pepperell, MA where she attended the Community Church and for the past 22 years she has been a resident of Dublin, NH.

Besides her husband, Raymond J. Bernier of Dublin, NH, she leaves a son, Daniel R. Sweet of Winchendon, MA, two step sons, Ernest Bernier of Dublin, NH and Scott Bernier of Florida, a step daughter, Carol Ann Bernier of Jaffrey, NH, thirteen grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Ernest Melendy, and two sisters, Ruth Melendy and Lenora Bouchard.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 28, 2013 at 10 a.m. at the MARCHAND FUNERAL HOME, 16 Pleasant Street, Pepperell, MA. Burial at Woodlawn Cemetery, Pepperell, MA.
