Theodore Phillip MacMillan

September 23, 1962 — April 23, 2025

Quincy, Massachusetts

It is with heavy heart that we announce the passing of Theodore Phillip MacMillan of Quincy, MA, known fondly as Ted, who left us on April 23, 2025. Born in San Jose, CA, on September 23, 1962, Ted was an adventurous spirit who deeply loved his family.

Ted was a man of many talents--smart and creative. His love for Boston was evident in his devotion to its sports teams and in his study of the more unique and often obscure features of the city.

Ted Graduated from Concord-Carlisle High School. After service in the U.S. Navy Reserve, Ted went on to earn his BS in Construction Management from Wentworth Institute of Technology.

His intelligence shone in his work as a highly respected Construction Manager where he contributed to numerous significant projects in the city. Among the many projects on which he worked were the Ritz-Carlton Hotel, the Harvard Science Center, and updates for both Logan Airport and the Green Line. Ted was active in Motocross from an early age, riding with both NEMA and NESC. Besides his love for the city of Boston, Ted was an avid Washington Huskie's fan--some say he knew more facts than the coach!

Ted is survived by his Mother, Mary C. Spigarelli, and his Step-father, Donald J. Spigarelli of Groton, MA. His legacy continues through his Brother Robert MacMillan (Dawn) of Milford, NH, Half-brother Patrick MacMillan (Heather) of Bellevue, WA, Half-sister Rickaye Carey of Tracy, CA, Nieces Christina (MacMillan) Grande (Robert) of Goffstown, NH and Jessica MacMillan, Oslo, Norway, Nephews Kevin Curran (Gianelle) of Brookline, NH, Connor MacMillan and Chase MacMillan of Bellevue, WA.

Ted was pre-deceased by his Father, Robert MacMillan and by his Brother, Michael MacMillan.
