Theresa “Tess” Miller, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 18, 2018 at Hillsborough County Nursing Home in Goffstown, NH.
Tess was born in South Plainfield, NJ, the 7th of 8 children of Paul and Mary Owsianik. She was trained as a professional seamstress, a skill that served her though out her life. She married Thomas A. Miller of Swampscott, MA on March, 2, 1946. As a result of his Army career, Tess proudly served as an Army NCO wife and grew to love travel. Besides assignments in the States, the Millers lived in Japan for a total of 6 years and Turkey for 3 years. Tess became a resident of Pepperell MA in 1971 and worked for a number of years as an aide at Tarbell School in West Groton, MA. She was a member of Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church in Pepperell.
Theresa is survived by her 3 children, Thomas A. Miller IV, Terence W. Miller and Trudi L. Costa. The most important thing to her in life was family, and she was proud of all her children, 11 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren as well as her numerous nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, February 22, 2018 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the MARCHAND FUNERALHOME, 16 Pleasant St., Pepperell, MA. A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, February 23, 2018 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Grace Parish worshiping at St. Joseph’s Church, 28 Tarbell St., Pepperell, MA. Burial to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Pepperell, MA.
