Virendra S. Negi "Vee", 68, a long time resident of Pepperell and a beloved husband to Nancy (Merritt) Negi for 42 years passed away suddenly in his home February 7, 2014.
Virendra was born in Dehradun India November 21, 1945 the son of the late Gorgal and Summtti (Panwar) Negi. Vee was educated in India at La Martiniere College of Lucknow and Roorkee Institute of Technology. He went on to receive his Master of Science Degree in Engineering at North Dakota State University graduating in 1970. He worked for Honeywell Bull for 25 plus years until he retired in 1995. He then spent most of his years on the golf course and was always surrounded by family and friends. While living in Pepperell for the past 40 years, he was a member of the Pepperell JC's and was an active member of the Lions Club. Virendra will always be remembered as being the most fun, loving, selfless man and continues to live on with his survivors.
Besides his adoring wife Nancy he leaves behind two loving daughters Sunita Negi and Nisha Negi Watkins, a son "in-law" Scott Watkins along with his two precious grandsons Chase and Gavin Watkins all of Manchester, NH; two sisters Neeta Negi and Ritushree Dwivedi and their spouses, all in India; two sisters-in-law and their spouses and many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to a memorial gathering at the Marchand Funeral Home, 16 Pleasant Street, Pepperell on Wednesday, February 12, 2014 from 4 to 7 p.m. Burial will be at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his name may be made to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701-4688.
