Virginia L. Norfolk, 59, passed away in her sleep from complications of breast cancer. She is survived by her mother, Marilyn C Norfolk of Peabody, Massachusetts, her husband, Jeff May of Groton, Massachusetts, and many good friends. Virginia will forever be remembered for the loving attention she gave to everyone she met, the laughter she shared with all of us, her uncanny ability to always find the right gift, and her fantastic cooking.
Born and raised in Lynn, Massachusetts, Virginia, she spent her working years in Mortgage Banking and then in Information Technology for State Street Bank and IBM. Virginia retired and focused her energy on her cats, her gardens, her friends, and, of course, her Peloton workouts.
During their 22 years together, Virginia and Jeff traveled the world, meeting many people and experiencing numerous cultures, including a final trip to Namibia last fall, where they spent three weeks with the animals.
Those who knew Virginia were blessed with a deep friendship and love that let them know you were truly important to her.
As per her request, services will be private.
