Virginia M. Timpani

Virginia M. (Dow) Timpani, age 86, a lifelong Pepperell resident, passed away after a brief illness on April 14, 2014. Virginia was born in Pepperell to Leonard and Florence (Denault) Dow. She worked as a teenager at Doc Davis Ice Cream Stand, raised her family and worked at the Bemis Bag Company for 20 years, retiring in 1989. She was a member of the Pepperell Seniors and enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family.

She leaves behind her beloved children, Brenda Shattuck , Susan Walsh , Richard R. Timpani, Jr. all of Pepperell and Janet Stowers of Cocoa, Florida, along with four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, Three sisters, Betty Chalmers of Pepperell, Nancy Calvagno of Florida , and Priscilla Markham of Groton and one brother Robert Dow of Pepperell, also numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers Richard Dow and Leonard Dow and one sister, Ramona Baker. She was also predeceased by her husband of 47 years, Richard (Dick) R. Timpani, Sr.

A memorial gathering will be held at the MARCHAND FUNERAL HOME, 16 Pleasant Street, Pepperell on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. At the request of the family burial will be private.
