Wallace G. Wesinger

September 29, 1929 — October 6, 2018

Wallace G. Wesinger Sr., 89 of Shirley formerly of Lexington passed away suddenly on Saturday, October 6, 2018. He was the husband of the late Joan (Cataldo) Wesinger.

Born in Arlington, MA on September 29, 1929 he was the son of Canadian immigrants Alfred and Elsie (Ryan) Wesinger.

Wallace was raised and educated in Hudson, MA and soon married and settled in Lexington where together they raised their loving children. Wallace worked for 34 years on the Town of Lexington Highway Department retiring in 1981 as Superintendent. He later began working as a heavy equipment operator for Cataldo Nursery and Landscape, Badger General Contracting and Nashoba Paving. He was a charter and longtime member of the Lexington Lodge of Elks, he always enjoyed working in his yard, helping others and keeping busy.

He is survived by his children Suzanne Wesinger of McConnellsburg, PA, Wallace G. Wesinger, Jr. and his wife Jean Enwright Wesinger of Ayer and David J. Wesinger of Shirley. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Brenna and Tessa Wesinger and his step-grandchildren, Shawna, Nicholas and Mackenzie Taylor all of Ayer.

Family and friends will gather to honor and remember Wallace on Thursday, Oct. 11 from 4:00-7:00 pm in the Badger Funeral Home, 347 King St., Littleton. His funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Friday at 11:00 am. Burial will be private.
