Wendell Yamil Roque

May 4, 1989 — November 26, 2025

Groton, Massachusetts

Wendell Roque, of Worcester, MA, passed away on November 26, 2025. For many years, Wendell made his home at Seven Hills, where he was embraced with extraordinary compassion by devoted doctors, nurses, caretakers, and his wonderful roommate, Eric Voss. Their kindness and unwavering care brought him comfort, dignity, and true companionship throughout his life.

Wendell is survived by his mother, Iris “Tita” Roque, his brother, Christopher Roque and godparents, Maria Bermudez and Endy Ramos. He also leaves behind an incredibly large and loving family who adored him as an irreplaceable and incredible brother, son, grandson, cousin, and nephew.

Wendell’s childhood was filled with lively memories, laughter, and the joyful energy of a rambunctious, silly boy who embraced life with a pure heart. He found happiness in the things he loved most— the iconic sounds of Wu-Tang Clan, his Hot Wheels and GI Joes, the excitement of WWF, and the larger than life presence of his favorite wrestler, Stone Cold Steve Austin. These joys captured his spirited, bold, and playful personality perfectly.

But above every memory and everything he loved, it was Wendell’s smile that everyone remembers most—a warm, radiant smile that seemed to carry its own light. It was the kind of smile that softened the hardest days, brought comfort without a single word, and made everyone around him feel seen, loved, and at ease. His smile was his greatest gift to the world.

Though life did not unfold for him in every way he deserved, Wendell lived surrounded by immense love. His bright spirit, gentle presence, and infectious smile touched countless hearts and taught all who knew him the true meaning of devotion, patience, and unconditional love.

Wendell’s presence, though no longer with us, will continue to be felt in the hearts of those who loved him. His laughter, his warmth, and the joy he brought simply by being himself will remain cherished forever.

May he rest in eternal peace, wrapped in the same love he gave so freely in life.
