William Green

William W. Green, 67, passed away peacefully October 10, 2013 with his loving wife by his side. William was born on January 13, 1946, son of the late Milton and Eleanor (Irish) Green. He resides in Ashby all his life.
Bill worked for the Highway Department for both Ashby and Ashburnham. He also worked as a mechanic and owned and operated his own landscaping company for many years. He enjoyed to work on tractors and other small engine machines along with his grandson Ryan by his side. He was also a collector of John Deere memorabilia.
William is survived by his wife Julie M. Green with who they just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.in September,. A son Donald Green of New Ipswich, NH and his fianc� Nancy A Hodson, , a daughter Michelle A Green of Ashby and her husband Robert and four grandchildren Sarah, Nicole , Tyler and Ryan. He also leaves a step granddaughter Caroline Hodson , a step great granddaughter Addie Mae, a brother Gerald Green of Goshen, NH and his family. William was well known and will be greatly missed by friends and family. .
Visiting Hours will be at Badger Funeral Home, 45 School St. Groton, on Monday, October 14, 2013 from 6-9 pm. A Memorial Gathering will be held at the Townsend VFW Post #6538, 491A Main St. West Townsend, MA 01474 Tuesday at 11:30am.
