William F. LeLacheur

December 13, 1949 — February 25, 2024

Littleton Massachusetts

William F. LeLacheur, 74, of Littleton, MA, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on February 25, 2024.  He was born on December 13, 1949, in Lowell, MA, to the late Edward A. LeLacheur and Eileen (Mahoney) LeLacheur.

Bill, Uncle Billy, or Willy as he was affectionately known, was a kind, and caring man with a good sense of humor and a flair for being ever so slightly stubborn.  Bill was a beloved husband, father, brother, uncle and friend. He loved his family dearly and was always everyone’s favorite Uncle Bill to crack jokes or tell stories at holiday dinners, and he always had gum.

Bill was an avid golfer and a longtime member of the Longmeadow Golf Club where he enjoyed many rounds with his friends “the three amigos” Billy Flynn, Tommy Hickey and Jack Conrad, as well as Bill Speronis. Bill was preceded in death by his dear friend and golfing buddy Dave Thomas.

Bill was also a man of deep Catholic faith and a parishioner at Blessed Trinity Parish.

Bill and his loving wife Tina enjoyed spending time at their home in Falmouth taking walks downtown and going for ice cream. They also loved traveling to Sanibel Island yearly to enjoy walking the beaches, looking for shells and bike rides in the warm winter sun.

Bill worked for many years for the B&M Railroad and the MBTA where he made many friends. However the last 12 years he thoroughly enjoyed being retired and appreciating his free time.

Bill is survived by his high school sweetheart, and love of his life, his wife of 52 years Christine “Tina” (Hayes) LeLacheur.  Additionally, he is survived by his favorite/only daughter Susanne LeLacheur and her husband Corey Canada. Bill was a devout family man and one of six siblings.  He is survived by his two sisters Joanne Sheehan, Maryjane (Bob) Nardone, and two brothers Paul (Sue) LeLacheur, and Jimmy (Colleen) LeLacheur. As well as his sister in law Elizabeth Rawnsley, and brother in law Paul (Linda) Hayes and countless nieces and nephews in both the LeLacheur and Hayes families. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Eileen LeLacheur, his in-laws Paul and Evelyn Hayes, and his brother Edward D. LeLacheur, sister in law Jean Guthrie, brother in law John Hayes, and his favorite brother in law Joseph Guthrie.

We would also like to thank the doctors and nurses and Mass General Hospital who took such care of Bill while he fought valiantly in his battle with lung cancer.  We would also like to thank Rev. Joseph Rossi for bringing such comfort to Bill and Tina in his final weeks.

Family and friends will gather to honor and remember Bill for calling hours on Thursday, February 29, 2024 from 4pm-7pm at the Badger Funeral Home, 347 King St., Littleton. His funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, March 1. 2024 at 10AM at Blessed Trinity Church, 75 King St., Littleton. Burial will be private.
