William E. "Bill" Naughton age 77 of Littleton formerly of Dorchester passed away peacefully on Friday, April 21, 2017 at Lowell General Hospital with his loving family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Marjorie E. (Doherty) Naughton and the late Beverly (Coyle) Naughton.
Born in Dorchester on February 4, 1940 he was the son of the late Owen and Catherine Geoff Naughton, both Irish immigrants. Bill graduated from Boston Technical High School. He married Beverly and remained with her until her passing. He met Marjorie and they married on July 27, 1985 at St. Anne's Church in Littleton. They remained in Littleton where together they raised their loving family.
Bill worked for many years as an installer for various electronics manufacturing firms. His detailed skills and workmanship carried him through a successful and rewarding career. Bill also enjoyed tinkering with any mechanical device especially automobile engines where he was known to disassemble and reassemble from memory.
A devout catholic, Bill attended weekly masses at St. Anne's Church in Littleton where he also taught CCD for many years. He was also an avid Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots fan and was known as the family prankster and practical joker. He was a terrific cook and most of all a dedicated and loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Family was the center of his life.
Along with his wife Marjorie he is survived by his children, Kelly and Patricia Naughton both of Derry, NH, Michael Tripp of Littleton, Nancy Tripp of Groton, Kathleen McGee of Westford, Maureen Frost of Pittsboro, NC and Christopher Tripp of Pelham, NH. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Kaci and Owen Naughton, Sean and Derek Tripp, Stephanie Crosby, Michael Lawrence, Colleen, Michael, Dillon, Meaghan and Owen McGee, Kevin Frost, Carlie Poirier, Andrew and Meghan Santo and his great-grandchildren, Paisley, Carter, Colton, Adlie, Kara and Jessa.
Family and friends will gather to honor and remember Bill on Wed., April 26 from 4:00-8:00 pm in the Badger Funeral Home, 347 King St., Littleton. His funeral mass will be celebrated on Thurs. at 10:00 am in St. Anne's Church, 75 King St., Littleton. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
