William G. "Bill" Shields, 62 and a former longtime resident of Ayer, passed away peacefully on December 27, 2020. He was the beloved son of the late John and Bernardine (Callahan) Shields.
Bill was born in Arlington on May 30, 1958. He was raised in Bedford and attended local schools where he learned his trade and graduated High School. Bill worked as a master electrician for many years. He was a friend to all who had the chance to know him and he will be deeply missed.
Bill is survived by his siblings; John, Jr. of ME, Ann of Marlborough, Mary of Westford and Kathleen of Billerica.
At the request of the family, funeral services for Bill we be held privately.
