William J. Walsh, Sr., age 54, a lifelong resident of Pepperell died unexpectedly on March 10, 2014 in a Las Vegas Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Susan G. (Timpani) Walsh, with whom he shared 29 years of marriage. He was born in Groton, MA on January 15, 1960, the son of the late David I. and Nancy (Chase) Walsh. He was educated in the Pepperell School System. He was Co-Owner of Walsh Brothers Construction, Inc. in Pepperell for over 15 years. While living in Pepperell he held membership in the Knights of Columbus Pepperell Council #317 and the Pepperell V.F.W Men’s Auxiliary #3291. He was a member of the V.F.W. Horseshoe League and was an avid NASCAR fan. Besides his wife, he leaves a son, William J. Walsh, Jr. of Townsend; a daughter, Heidi Stairs and husband David of Pepperell; a brother, David I. Walsh, Jr. and his wife Cathleen of Pepperell and three grandchildren. He was respected by all and will be greatly missed. Relatives and friends may call at the MARCHAND FUNERAL HOME, 16 Pleasant Street, Pepperell, MA on Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, March 17, 2014 at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Grace Parish, worshipping at St. Joseph Church, 28 Tarbell Street, Pepperell, MA. Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery, Pepperell. In lieu of flowers, donations are being accepted in his name at North Middlesex Savings Bank in Pepperell, MA.
